AFTER SCHOOL CELTIC CREW

Together with our Ancestors

Thank you for your interest in the After School Celtic Crew!

We are pleased to announce that the After School Celtic Crew is opened on September 5, 2024. We are located at 83 Water St. in Pictou at the ground level.

The After School Celtic Crew is a common interest youth club that will run all school days following the Chignecto Central school calendar from 2pm until 5pm. Members do not need to be MEC students to be a part of our crew.

After School Celtic Crew (ASCC) is for preprimary - grade 6 students, or ages 4-12

We are accepting applications. Accepted members will be sent a registration form and a link to pay. Payment for each month will be due on the 20th of the preceding month. Waitlisted applicants will be informed that they are waitlisted. This is our pilot program year, so membership is quite limited in numbers!

The Celtic Crew is a reliable space for your child to experience our Celtic culture and heritage, while feeling comfortable and having fun. We understand the exhaustion students can feel at the end of their school day, and want them all to have a positive experience with us. Through games, songs, lessons, art, and dance, our members will experience Gaelic language, Celtic history and folklore.

If your child has no interest in Celtic culture, we understand. We expect during their time with the Celtic Crew they will find something that interests them that they can relate to. There will be plenty of free play and outside time on nice weather days, as well as traditional games and fun that is familiar to them. It's their space to feel safe and comfortable between school and home.

Thank you for your interest! Mòran Taing!

This is our first year so our numbers may be kept quite limited. The application form is simply to control numbers and gather sincerely interested members! It is non-competitive.
